Sometimes a simple marinara sauce over pasta, some crusty bread and a good glass of wine is all you need for a fantastic dinner. Here is the simplest of marinara recipes.
1 14oz can of good quality tomatoes, diced
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
red pepper flakes
3 tbsp chopped basil
Drizzle olive oil in a sauce pot. Add garlic and saute for a few minutes. Add diced tomatoes. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes to your liking. Simmer for at least 20 minutes. Right before serving add basil. Serve over pasta.
